Pedagogical and psychological services work with pupils, provide assistance and support to teaching staff, teachers’ duty hours have been introduced in the hallways during the holidays, meetings and counseling with parents, cooperation with the Shtip Regional Office for Teacher Training and workshops for students are part of the measures that the Municipality of Shtip is taking to jointly deal with peer violence.
Prevention will move in the same direction in the new school year, said today the head of the Education and Public Activities Sector in the municipality of Shtip, Snezhana Saneva.
“It is a serious topic and a problem in schools, but of course efforts are being made to overcome it with various measures. Last year, teachers’ duty hours in the hallways during the holidays were introduced. So that students are constantly under control, pedagogical and psychological services are also intensifying their work and constantly working with students,” said Saneva.
She pointed out that the workshops with the pupils talk about the dangers of peer violence, prevention and consequences. The new school year 2026-2027 begins on September 1, and on Monday, August 31, the Shtip primary schools traditionally have a ceremonial reception of pupils in the first grade. The Municipality of Shtip will provide free school uniforms this year as well.
