A public prosecutor from the Skopje Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office (PPO) has issued an order for an autopsy on the body of the murdered 18-year-old man from Bojane, Skopje.
As reported by the Skopje PPO, orders have also been issued for forensic examination of traces and for forensic examinations and comparative analyses of the weapon with which the crime is believed to have been committed.
“There is a reasonable suspicion that the criminal offense – Murder under Article 123, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code was committed by a 19-year-old from the same village, who has been arrested. However, taking into account that the collection of evidence is ongoing, and there are circumstances that indicate a flight risk, the possibility of influencing witnesses and covering up the evidence, as well as a risk that the suspect will commit another criminal offense, the public prosecutor requested the preliminary procedure judge to determine a measure of short-term detention of 48 hours until all evidence is provided and the formal opening of the investigation,” informs the Skopje-based Public Prosecutor’s Office.
