The beginning of the summer tourist season and the weekend have once again created large crowds at the Evzoni and Bogorodica border crossings, where thousands of passengers are facing several-hour delays.
The large number of tourists who have left for Greek resorts has overloaded the capacities of the crossing, which is why vehicles have almost completely filled the cross-border area.
Meanwhile, since yesterday afternoon, the largest delays have been recorded at the Macedonian Bogorodica border crossing, where kilometer-long queues have formed to enter Macedonia. According to testimonies of passengers published on social networks, the wait for passport control lasts up to four hours. There are cars, buses, campers and motorcycles in the queues, and traffic is moving slowly.
In contrast, in the opposite direction, i.e. for exiting Macedonia and entering Greece, there are currently no major delays, after the morning crowds have gradually decreased.
