Testimony of Ristov’s parents is not corroborated by other evidence, says Prosecutor Hadzi Vasileva

Prosecutor Iskra Hadzi Vasileva says that the testimony given by his parents is not corroborated by the other material and collected evidence, following Thursday’s hearing in the trial of former Appellate Court Judge Gjoko Ristov.

Responding to a reporter’s question regarding the testimony of Ristov’s parents, Hadzi Vasileva said the prosecution had no reason to call them as witnesses.

“The prosecution saw no point in using these witnesses, which is precisely why they were not called,” she responded.

According to Hadzi Vasileva, the parents testified about certain events and facts, but, as she pointed out, these accounts are not supported by the other material and collected evidence.

“But, I reiterate, they are parents. The boundary between credibility and emotion is clear here, it is a matter of parents and their child,” noted Prosecutor Hadzi Vasileva.

Ex-Judge Ristov’s parents saved €350,000 for their retirement: The money in the wall is ours; Gjoko didn’t give it to us
