In the past 24 hours, the police have recorded four cases of domestic violence, in which three people have been arrested. The incidents occurred in Ohrid, Sveti Nikole and Skopje, the Macedonian Ministry of Interior (MoI) said in its newsletter on Sunday.
The most serious case was recorded in Ohrid. A man from the city of Veles, who was staying in the city, physically assaulted his 21-year-old partner. According to the report, he also hit their baby during the assault.
In Sveti Nikole, a 50-year-old man assaulted his wife in their family home. During a police check, it was determined that he was under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol content of 1.29 per mille.
In Skopje, a 39-year-old man physically assaulted his wife, threatened her and damaged her mobile phone.
The fourth case is a family conflict in which a 26-year-old girl assaulted her mother. Later, according to the report, she was physically assaulted by her brother and mother.
