With their vote and signature, Talat Xhaferi and DUI left the Albanian language out of the bar exam. So, not only did they not protect the Albanian language, but they consciously excluded it, to the detriment of many Albanian students, said the VLEN coalition in a press release Sunday.
“The document of August 27, 2019, signed by Talat Xhaferi, exposes the truth. The problem with the bar exam and the exclusion of the Albanian language bears a clear political stamp.
At a time when the Law on the Use of Languages was already in force, Talat Xhaferi, as Parliament Speaker, not only did not request the harmonization of the law on the bar exam with the provisions arising from that law, but on the contrary gave the green light for a legal text in which the Albanian language was omitted.
We publicly ask, when Talat Xhaferi’s son took the bar exam, in which language did he answer the exam questions?”, reads VLEN’s press release.
