Everything that Levica, SDSM, DUI and other smaller opposition parties will agree on in terms of financing, in terms of the diaspora’s statement, in terms of complaints and in terms of one electoral unit and all the details that are incorporated, we will accept as long as our position is accepted, which is that the diaspora can respect the constitutionally guaranteed right and be able to vote and express itself in elections, VMRO-DPMNE MP BojanStojanoskitold reporters on Tuesday after the meeting held in the Parliament between political parties regarding the Electoral Code consensus.
“We indicated that voting should be regulated by a bylaw that will be adopted by the State Election Commission by the end of September 30, 2028. We were informed by the opposition political parties that there has been no change in their positions. We, as a coalition, together with VLEN and ZNAM, have offered another model, which we believe should be accepted, because our goal is for the diaspora to be able to express itself in a more massive way than it can now. We will accept everything that these opposition parties will offer us through a purified text of the law,” said Stojanovski.
The ruling party MPnotes that this is a common request of all government coalition partners.
“We certainly have different views on many issues, but when we come to a core national interest, we know how to somehow incorporate those demands into the interests of the coalition. This demand is a joint demand of both ZNAM and VLEN,” said Stojanovski.
The MP added that they did not agree on any deadlines by which the opposition parties should respond to the request of the ruling political parties.
