Macedonia has the lowest inflation rate among countries in the region, and the VMRO-DPMNE-led Government has successfully dealt with price increases and kept prices at the lowest possible level. While the world faces price shocks, with the government measures taken during the energy crisis caused by the war in Iran, the situation in the country has remained stable and under control, VMRO-DPMNE points out in a press release Friday.

“The State Statistics Office confirmed that the annual inflation in June dropped and amounted to 3.4%, while compared to the previous month of May, a decrease of 0.5 percent was recorded, and the retail price index dropped by 0.8 percent in June. Another piece of data that represents special satisfaction and success is the fact that inflation in food and non-alcoholic beverages amounted to 2.5%, while in clothing and footwear it was 2.1%.

Contrary to the hysteria and forecasts of the opposition and their satellites, these statistical data are confirmation that the prices of food products and non-alcoholic beverages are kept at a stable level. These are encouraging figures and confirmation that the government measures taken and implemented in the conditions of the largest energy crisis have yielded the desired results and effects.

Those who want to create panic and false perception in the public are once again defeated by the numbers and by the relevant institutions, such as the State Statistics Office.
Thanks to the Government’s swift reaction, Macedonia held the lowest price level in the region, while the world was facing price shocks for oil derivatives,” said the ruling VMRO-DPMNE.
