In the area of agricultural land abuses, from the first day since the Government was formed, we have entered into a serious process of controlling all contracts, starting from the last ones and going backwards, because indications indicate that this is where the greatest abuses have been committed and the data is truly worrying, Macedonian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management CvetanTripunovski told a podcast Thursday evening.
One of the resources used by the state, the minister points out, is that the law provides for people under 40 to be exempted from paying rent for three years as a mitigating circumstance for young people to enter the process.
“Those who want to manipulate the system find some young man who they put as a manager in companies etc., apply, they received it from the previous government for use, in terms of rent, those are thousands of euros that should have gone into the state budget. They also leased the land and used subsidies. That is a classic case of injustice, it is a textbook abuse of the system of state money,” elaborated Minister Tripunovski.
