Youth remain at the center of the policies of the Government led by VMRO-DPMNE. The ruling party shows it with deeds, not words. Reducing unemployment and creating new jobs remain the top priority of the Government, said the ruling VMRO-DPMNE in a press release Saturday.
With increased funds for employment measures and a clear focus on youth, the results are already visible. Over 2,600 people were covered in the 2025 Employment Operational Plan alone, of which almost 1,500 were young people under 29, and nearly 2,200 new businesses were opened.
The funds for 2025 Employment Operational Plan were increased by EUR 7.5 million compared to 2024.
In 2026, the Government is going a step further. Almost EUR 40 million have been provided for employment support, covering more than 10,000 citizens. Over EUR 32 million are directly directed towards measures that will create new job opportunities and economic development.
With the 2026 Operational Plan, almost 6,000 young people will be included in active employment measures, and thousands more will receive support through youth allowance, internships and training to acquire new skills.
Via measures for self-employment and support for the creation of new jobs, a stimulus for the employment of young people in production capacities is envisaged, where a youth allowance of MKD 3,000 is provided for about 3,500 young people up to 23 years of age.
