Today marks 68 years since Boris Trajkovski’s birth

The second president of the Republic of Macedonia (from December 15, 1999 to February 26, 2004) Boris Trajkovski was born on June 25, 1956.

Trajkovski graduated from the Law Faculty of the University “St. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje. From the end of 1998, he was the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia in the Government headed by Ljubcho Georgievski.
He participated in numerous international conferences on conflict resolution, religious tolerance, religious freedom, and was the president of the Youth Organization of the United Methodist Church in Yugoslavia for more than 12 years.
President Trajkovski died in a plane crash on 26 February 2004, when the Beechcraft King Air 200 tried to land at the airport of Mostar, in southern Bosnia.
Despite several domestic and international investigations, the causes of the tragic plane crash have not yet been brought to light.
