Macedonia today will borrow additional 3 billion denars or 50 million euros of the
citizens’ money, said Interim Deputy Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska Kocoska.
“On14.01.2020, the country borrowed 500 million denars, and another 1.3 billion
denars on 28.01.2020.
Macedonia is drowning in debt, while there are no new investments, the economy is
in stagnation and is in the last place in the Western Balkans after growth. Where do
these huge sums of money go, when the citizens see nothing of it?
This illogical waste of money goes further when we see that the government has
spent 450,000 euros to build landfills, and, mind this, 350,000 euros to rebuild
monuments, and 200,000 euros for new motor vehicles," said Dimitrieska Kocoska.
