Two patients with flrelated complications are on mechanical ventilation at the University Clinic for Infectious Diseases and are in a life-threatening condition, the public health agency said.
The Clinic for Infectious Diseases has hospitalized a total of 38 patients with flu-related complications.
The University Hospital for Pediatric Diseases, meanwhile, has hospitalized 17 patients with flu symptoms, but none have flu-related complications. Director of the Clinic, Natasa Najdanovska Aluloska said today that two children were hospitalized with more severe forms of bronchopneumonia due to flu-related complications, and indicated that they did not have any flue patients put on mechanical ventilation.
