The number of employees in industry in January 2020, decreased by 3.2% compared to January 2019, State Statistical Office data shows.
In January 2020 compared to the same period in 2019, the number of employees in industry decreased by 1.3% in the Mining and quarrying sector, 3.5% in Manufacturing, and 0.6% in Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sector.
Compared to January 2019, the number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in January 2020 decreased in Energy by 0.9%, Intermediate goods, except energy by 3.2%, Durable consumer goods by 6.8% and Non-durable consumer goods by 5.4%, but increased in Capital goods by 1.5%.
