Costs of living in February increased by 0.1 percent compared to January, while retail prices dropped 0.3 percent, the State Statistical Office said today. Compared to February last year the cost of living increased by 0.7 percent and the retail prices by 0.5 percent.
Increase in Consumer Price Indexes in February 2020, compared to the previous month, was recorded at 2.6 percent for fresh and chilled fruits, 2.1 percent for fresh and chilled vegetables except potatoes and other root fruits, oil and fat. by 1.6 percent, meat, milk, beer by 0.8 percent, fish and seafood by 0.7 percent, mineral water, carbonated drinks, fruit and vegetable juices by 0.6 percent, soft drinks, liquor by 0, 5 percent, yogurt, cheese and cottage cheese, eggs 0.3 percent and wine 0.2 percent.
Last month there was also a rise in consumer price indexes by 3.2 percent in IT, motor vehicles by 3.1 percent, water supply by 1.9 percent, gardens, plants and flowers by 1.7 percent, waste water collection by 1.4 percent, household gas by 1.3 percent, road passenger transport by 0.9 percent, catering services by 0.6 percent, pets and related products by 0 , 5 percent, furniture and furnishings, large electrical appliances to households, other own-transport equipment services by 0.3 percent.
