MoFA recommends citizens not to travel to Italy

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issues Tuesday travel advisory for the citizens not to
visit Italy due to outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
“Due to an ongoing outbreak of coronavirus (Covid-19), we recommend our citizens
not travel in Italy. For those citizens who are already in Italy, we advise them to step
up precautionary measures and follow local media and local authorities’ instructions,”
reads the press statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Consulate General of North Macedonia in Venice, following the practice of other
European diplomatic consular missions in the same region, and for further
prevention of the spreading of COVID-19, will no longer work with clients except in
emergency situations.
