The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia calls on to employers in the public and private sectors to abide by the recommendations of the Government and let one of the parents who have children up to 10 years of age stay home.
We call on to the authorities of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and the State Labor Inspectorate to immediately sanction any failure to comply with this recommendation, and to immediately sanction employers that are preventing employees parenting a child under 10 years of age and requiring home care, according to today’s statement from the Trade Unions.
The Federation points out that it will intervene on any information received where recommendations are not respected.
