Health Minister Venko Filipce will ask healthcare workers to cancel private trips within the next 14 days. He will submit this proposal to the Government at today’s session.

“I would like to recommend to the Government another measure recommended by the Commission on Infectious Diseases, which is that healthcare workers will also cancel private trips in the next two weeks because it is very unpredictable whether any of the countries will join the group of high risk countries so they need to be in self-isolation for 14 days. Each health worker is really precious to us,” Minister Filipce said.

The ban on private travel comes after the director of the Dermatology Clinic did not isolate herself after returning from a private trip, but went to work for five days and was also at a symposium, getting close to 200 people exposed to the virus on Monday.
