The Spanish Senate has decided to hold a plenary session next week despite the coronavirus crisis, as it needs to ratify the North Macedonia accession treaty with NATO, the deadline for obtaining it ends the same day on March 17th. It will be the only item on the agenda and is expected to pass quickly and all senators who wish to do so may vote by telematics to avoid the Chamber’s presence.
This was stated by the first vice-president of the Senate, Cristina Narbona, who also announced that the rest of the parliamentary activities for next week were canceled.
