A four-member family in February needed 32,915 denars to meet their minimum basic monthly needs.
According to the data released by the Federation of Trade Unions on the value of the minimum union basket, most of the money goes to food and drinks per month, i.e. a family needs 13,765 denars, followed by housing costs – 10,441 denars.
Food and beverages account for 41, 82 percent of the total minimum basket, and overheads account for 31.72 percent. The minimum costs for hygiene in February amounted to 2,345 denars, transportation costs 2,447 denars, and clothing and footwear 2,142 denars.
Least money is left to meet healthcare needs and cultural activities.
