Ministry of Economy is to submit Wednesday proposals on establishment of Tourism Support Fund and ban on flour export to the Government as part of set of measures to mitigate coronavirus impact.

Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi told news conference of the government’s economic team that the situation with imports and exports is being closely monitored and, if needed, a ban on exports and other basic food products would be introduced in cooperation with the relevant institutions.

“Together with the Ministry of Finance, the Customs Administration and the Ministry of Agriculture, we may ban exporting other products amid the crisis,” Bekteshi said.

Economy Ministry in its proposal on establishment of Tourism Support Fund to the Government will reallocate MKD 44 million, while the Agency for Tourism Promotion will allocate MKD 30 million for this fund.
