The health system, according to the Health Ministry, is prepared to treat more patients than those already receiving treatment in hospitals and also during the peak of the new virus in the country, which is expected by the end of the month.
The Clinic for Infectious Diseases has 250-bed capacity to treat patients whose condition has worsened. The General Hospital in Skopje has 400 beds.
At the moment, 59 patients are treated at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases, which represents a quarter of the capacity of this health institution.
Hospitals have the capacity, including medical staff, to fight against the disease, according to the Health Ministry.
