The current restrictive measures for the export of medical personal protective
equipment from the EU to the Western Balkans should be lifted on April 25, reports
MIA's correspondent in Brussels.

The European Union, at the beginning of the coronavirus crisis, has decided to
introduce special authorizations for the export of personal protective equipment for
countries outside the EU, except for member states of the European Free Trade
Area such as Norway or Switzerland.
This decision caused great dissatisfaction in the region, after which the authorities of
the six countries of the Western Balkans sent a letter to the European Commission,
presenting their arguments because it is necessary to exclude this region as well.
