The National Bank of Macedonia will offer treasury bills in the amount of 8 billion denars compared to the auction conducted in March.
According to the National Bank, the released funds in the amount of about 130 million euros are expected to provide further support to the Macedonian economy by encouraging the credit activity of the banking system.
“The National Bank takes this step after the reduction of the key interest rate, regulatory changes that provide greater flexibility and leave more space for banks to focus on the lending process, as well as changes in the reserve requirement with which provide additional liquidity and support lending to the most affected sectors of the economy,” said the National Bank.
