The Ombudsman’s Office closely and seriously monitors any measures adopted by the Government of the Republic of Macedonia regarding the prevention of the spread of the s COVID-19 virus, says ombudsman Ixhet Memeti and adds that the restrictions are limited in duration and proportionate to the danger of spreading the virus and that there is no room for their reaction.
“Taking the seriousness of the situation into account, but also the need for continuous monitoring of the human rights situation, I adopted a plan for working in emergency conditions, it is also published on our website, where every citizen, as before, can to turn for any help and advice, electronically or by phone,” says Memeti.
