COVID- 19 did not arrive in Macedonia two months ago, according to the director of
the Center for Public Health Arben Ziberi and according to him it is very likely that
the virus was present in the country last year, and after the outbreak of the epidemic
will be investigated who is the index patient.

Ziberi claims that the Center for Public Health has a sufficient number of health
workers who work in teams, and are on duty in the evening. So far, there are no
patients among the doctors and other medical staff who make up the Center for
Public Health.
The director adds that enough tests are being done in the country for COVID-19.
According to him, Macedonia is a leader in the region in the number of tests
performed for coronavirus.
