The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will allocate in 2020 an EUR 250 million package to North Macedonia, to support the finance and energy sectors, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises and large companies. EBRD is set to activate the Solidarity Package, aimed at mitigating the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and offer substantial support to Western Balkan countries, including Macedonia.

EBRD support in Macedonia is in part focused on infrastructure projects.
