What was needed after the first 30 days of the state of emergency was to re-
assemble the leadership and decide. What is being done now with the meeting of the
Parliament is a mockery. The Government is making a mockery with the meeting of
the Parliament, said VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski in an interview with
Alsat TV.
– We were supposed to meet after the first 30 days of state of emergency. What is
the reason for this unconstitutional gathering of MPs and the Parliament? It is simply
that there is no constitutional provision for convening the Parliament in this situation.
This is an exclusively legal issue and a legal debate. We need to find a solution. The
government had 30 days to take enough anti-crisis measures and the like. If the
request was that the government needs a state of emergency to respond to the
crisis, we agreed at the first meeting.
I’m interested why we need another 30 days of state emergency. After the Labor Day

holidays, the measures are announced to be abandoned and we need to talk about
that, said Mickoski.
According to him, the second state of emergency was one-sided.
– I just want to point out where the mistake was made. What is happening now with
the convening of the Parliament is a mockery. The government is making a mockery
of the meeting of the Parliament, said Mickoski.
