The SDSM-led government spent 120 million euros more than it collected in the budget, and in the first three months of this year, the economy was looted in order to cover the elections that were to be organized, which indebted each Macedonian family with 15,000 denars on average.

Such indicators, as they were presented in yesterday’s report of the Ministry of Finance, and were discussed by VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski at today’s press conference, indicate that after the health crisis with the coronavirus epidemic, the country and citizens should expect a serious economic crisis.

“In the first three months: January, February and March 2020, the government of Zoran Zaev and SDSM practically robbed the budget and thus deliberately pushed Macedonia into a state of crisis and subordinate position. When it became clear that the pandemic with the Kovid-19 virus would affect Macedonia, Zoran Zaev and this SDSM leadership playing ‘all in’ with the budget, motivated by lucrative motives and the desire at any cost to try to achieve a better result in the early parliamentary elections spent for a quarter, almost half of the budget deficit planned for the entire fiscal year of 2020,” Mickoski said.

Mickoski clarified that 2019, which was also an election year with presidential elections, in the same period in the first three months 01.01 to 31.03 were spent slightly over 18% of the planned budget deficit and realized about 7% of planned capital investments. While in January, February, March od 2020, or between 01.01 and 31.03, Zoran Zaev and SDSM practically realized a meaningful robbery, spending slightly less than 43% of the budget deficit, while realizing about 8.5% of the planned capital investments.
