Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi insists that the Parliament can only convene after an election was held. “Anything else would be a coup attempt”, Xhaferi said.
Xhaferi added that he was under pressure to reconvene the parliament and convene a session of Parliament, but it was clear that the issue with the Parliament had already been done.
All representatives voted on February 16 to dissolve the Parliament. The Parliament will convene after the next elections, Xhaferi said.
SDSM MPs submitted an initiative to the Parliament for its re-convening, while VMRO-DPMNE refused to back the initiative.
