In an interview with weekly “Fokus”, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski
stresses that it is irresponsible to hide a document from Bulgaria that conditions the
progress towards the EU by giving up the country’s language and history.
– I think that it is really a hermaphroditic type of politics to change the name of the
country while swearing in your loved ones, your children, that you won’t do it. It is
hypocritical and sad to say that this change is the last attempt to enter the EU, and
still have no date for negotiations, after three years in power. It is hermaphroditic and
irresponsible to hide a document from Bulgaria that conditions progress towards the
EU by giving up language and history. All this is not only hermaphroditic, but it is
another step towards the second phase of creating a new identity-distorted nation
with a new name, a new language and history. Giving up history is giving up on
yourself, said Mickoski in an interview with “Fokus”.
