Survey: 25% of citizens say they lost their jobs due to the coronacrisis

A quarter of citizens say they have lost their jobs due to the coronacrisis, according to the latest opinion poll conducted by the Skopje-based Institute for Political Research.

According to the survey, 25.8% of respondents say that either they or a member of their family temporarily or permanently lost their jobs due to the coronacrisis, while 67.8% of respondents say that they did not have that problem. 14.4% of citizens say that due to the crisis, their family’s income has decreased. 47.4% say they have no reduction in family income, while 32.4% say they have some reduction in income.

However, the survey does not show significant growth in borrowing. Only 4.7% of the surveyed citizens say that during this period they have applied or plan to apply for a bank loan, while 80.7% say that they have not done so.
