The Government has decided to allow elected and appointed persons to travel abroad, but not to be placed in compulsory state quarantine upon their return.
Professor Dimitar Apasiev of Levica reacted to this decision in a Facebook post.
“SDS officials of “our country” have spread the coronavirus with such moves, and now – everyone quarantined,but them!? They have blue blood, they are not affected by the virus.
The Constitutional Court needs to wake up! If this is not an example of DISCRIMINATION based on social status, then I don’t know what it is! When your salaries were at stake, you expressly initiated a procedure and a temporary measure. Well, the people expect the same expediency now!
P.S. “Restriction of freedoms and rights may not be discriminatory on the grounds of sex, race, skin color, language, religion, national or social origin, property or social status” (Article 54, paragraph 3 of the Constitution of the Republic of Macedonia), wrote Apasiev.
