Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic sharply attacked Macedonian President Stevo
Pendarovski, saying he was "flattering Germany" and was opposed the idea of
correcting the borders between Serbia and Kosovo. Vucic asked Pendarovski not to
speak on these topics due to the good relations between the two countries.
Pendarovski's statement is the identical to the statement made by German Foreign
Minister Heiko Maas a day earlier, Vucic said, adding that Serbia is in a complex
environment. This implies that they have objections to Macedonia's recognition of
Kosovo.
"I understand the choice of many in the region to flatter the most powerful,
sometimes in an immeasurable way When they talk about the fact that there are no
territorial changes, they actually say, Miroslav Lajčák, Heiko Maas, as well as
Pendaroski – the goal is for Serbia to fully recognize the territory of Kosovo as an
independent state," Vucic said in a statement.
