According to this party, the government completely missed the deadlines when the
state, the economy and the citizens needed measures, which created a situation in
which ordinary measures do not help at all.
The opposition VMRO-DPMNE accused that the third package of economic
measures promoted today by Prime Minister Oliver Spasovski is a one-time bribe to
citizens before the elections.
– SDSM thinks that the citizens can be deceived and bought before the elections with
non-essential measures, which do not give results, and are just a blur. Additionally,
today Spasovski, Angelovska and others from the government put the economy on
hold until September. The economy will not receive any help. The economy will have
to survive the most difficult period of the crisis without help. This opens the risk for a
large number of companies to fail, and thousands of workers to lose their jobs or
livelihoods – VMRO-DPMNE said.

– VMRO-DPMNE alerted in time, but the vanity and arrogance of the government
were too great. More than half of the 33,000 workers in the catering sector are
temporarily unemployed, a number of companies are operating at a reduced volume,
and thousands of low-income citizens are in need. An urgent strategy is needed to
exit the crisis. With SDSM it is not possible; with SDSM we have only crime,
corruption and incompetence – said VMRO-DPMNE.
