The State Election Commission (SEC) today completely denied the headlines in certain media outlets stating that the Commission has begun preparations for the early parliamentary elections.
The only activities, according to the statement, which the SEC is currently implementing are the activities related to its current functioning.
– We would also like to inform you that the SEC fully respects the Decree with legal force on the issues related to the elections No. 442413/1 of March 21, 2020, adopted by the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, actions for conducting the early elections for Members of the Parliament of the Republic of North Macedonia, scheduled for April 12, 2020 no. 08-1022/1 from March 22, 2020, the SEC said in a statement.
