Mickoski: Zaev will fiercely lose the elections, we will show that there is another way

What I find interesting is that the last time SDSM won the parliamentary elections was exactly 18 years ago. So a new generation of citizens was born, turned 18 and does not remember the victory in the parliamentary elections of SDSM.  It will be so this time again, because these people will not vote for them. Zaev will fiercely lose the elections, the opposition VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski.

Mickoski reminded that SDSM led by Zoran Zaev were defeated in 2014, as well as in the early elections in December 2016.

“I am very clear that there are two conditions, one is to win and the other is to form a government. Both conditions are not conditional, and if we fail I will step down. I am not like my political opponent, the opposition leader who runs away should answer such a question. I am brutally honest and I tell you I do not run away from answering questions. I believe in VMRO-DPMNE, I believe in its capacity. Try to pose this question to him, he will not give an answer at all,” said Mickoski on TV 21.

He assessed that the citizens were right to not trust politicians, because they were too betrayed, but, as Mickoski pointed out, he was convinced that his party will show that there is another way.

“The feeling among citizens is that the politicians are failing to deliver what they promised, and we should not be too analytical to conclude that. People listen, no one is forcing you to make promises, but at the same time I say that the people will support them, they will support your option if your offer is seen as attractive. But the people severely punishes when it sees that their unconditional trust has been betrayed. And if in the past thirty years we have been largely disillusioned with the citizen, then it is logical that the people feels that way. I do not want to leave the impression that everything that was before was not good, that now this leadership of VMRO-DPMNE is coming and immediately honey and milk will start flowing on the streets and everything will be great,” said the leader of VMRO-DPMNE.
