The total number of people infected with COVID-19 in the country since the
beginning of the epidemic is 8,197, of which 3,486 are currently active, after 88 new
cases were registered on Monday out of a total of 973 tests performed.
The largest number of active people is in Skopje – 1,788, followed by Kumanovo –
194 and Debar – 151.
Minister of Health Venko Filipce does not expect a larger influx of patients in
hospitals and stressed that the trends are still in the direction of approximately the
same percentage of newly diagnosed from the total number of tests and the same
percentage of hospitalized patients from the total number of newly diagnosed.
In the past 24 hours, 123 people have recovered, bringing the number of recovered
so far to 4,326, while three people have died, bringing the death toll to 385.
