Albanian-language journalist Diana Toska, creator of the anthem for Holy Mother Teresa, reacted after the unveiling of the memorial plaque at the site of Gonxha Bojaxhiu’s house in Skopje’s town square.
She thinks that the plaque should have Saint Mother Teresa written on it, and not just Mother Teresa because she was already declared a saint in 2016,
“If you see on the other plate there is a cross, identification of Mother Teresa. Her cross is not placed on the plaque in Albanian and that leaves many questions. What is behind that? Why is it not set? Who is afraid of her identity or dare I say -will Mother Teresa be changed into a Muslim? This is an unprecedented absurdity, this record has no ideological or essential concept,” Toska said.
