The Parliament on Saturday started the debate on the election of the new Government. The MPs will consider and debate the proposed composition of the new government of Prime Minister-designate ZoranZaev, after which he should be voted by Sunday midnight at the latest. The session started with a stormy reaction from VMRO-DPMNE MP Igor Janushev. He reacted that eight of the MPs have unverified mandates. He challenged the procedure for verifying the mandates of the new MPs, who took the seats of MPs who now become ministers.
“In the spirit of transparency, democracy and respect for the rule of law, it needs to be noted that eight members of Parliament who sit here don’t have the legitimacy and were appoint illegally,” Janushev said.
Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi urged Janushev to read the Rules of Procedure, telling him that the parties were responsible for not convening the working groups for two months.
“Apart from the fact that the public saw that you are extortionists and incompetents, now you are also illiterate,” said Janushev, who sharply criticized the attending from the very beginning.
