Prime Minister Zoran Zaev cannot get the country out of the crisis, because he pushed it into it himself, and with 40,000 unemployed he is pushing the country towards the Greek scenario instead of improvement, the opposition VMRO-DPMNE warned on Wednesday.

“His inability to manage the country caused a billion euros in new debt, which means that each family is in debt by 2,000 euros in just three months. Instead of money for companies and citizens, Zaev and Nina Angelovska are giving money to their own companies,” reads the reaction released by VMRO-DPMNE.

The opposition party points out that while citizens and private companies face insolvency, government officials pay assistance to their own companies.

“The result of the crisis, as Zaev himself says, may be 22, maybe 30 thousand, and in reality there are more than 40 thousand laid off workers. The collapse of the economy is a fact that the official institutions are talking about,” reads VMRO-DPMNE’s statement.
