DUI leader Ali is expected to be further questioned on Thursday by prosecutors from the Kosovo Specialist Chambers.He previously testified on Wednesday in the EULEX premises.
Ahmeti was questioned in the capacity of a witness as one of the founders of KLA (Kosovo Liberation Army). He participated in the 1998-99 Kosovo conflict. Established in 2017 in The Hague, the Kosovo Specialist Chambers and Specialist Prosecutor’s Office is tasked with investigating war crimes and crimes against humanity committed during or after the 1998-99 Kosovo war.
The Kosovo Specialist Chambers, such as the official name of the court, known to the Kosovo public as the “KLA Court”, are run by international prosecutors and judges.
Investigations, as announced, focused on alleged crimes between January 1998 and December 2000.
