Two people on a motorcycle dressed in black with black motorcycle helmets brutally attacked Ljupcho Palevski, member of the new opposition Third Party and a civil society activist known as fierce critic of the government led by Zoran Zaev.
The attack, in which metal rods and so-called “boxers” were used, was confirmed by the Ministry of Interior, adding that “the police are working on solving the case”.
Palevski is being cared for in a private clinic in Skopje with fractures of the arms, hematomas on his head, he is conscious, but the doctors recommended that he be under constant professional observation in the next few days.
The largest opposition party VMRO-DPMNE says that the perpetrators of the attack on Palevski are well-known, and blame the government as the conspirator.
“Zaev’s mafia and his servants are patrons of the assassination attempt on the government critic Ljupcho Palevski. The perpetrators of such a heinous act are familiar to the public, and the conspirators of it should be sought in the top of the government. The hands of the mobster Zaev are covered in blood, for whose mandate political dissidents are being beaten, critical journalists are being lynched, they conduct a political chase against editors and put pressure on the media,” VMRO-DPMNE said.
