Macedonia has the highest COVID-19 mortality rate in the Balkans

Тhe world has exceeded one million deaths due to coronavirus, and Macedonia is the number one country in the Balkans on the black list of COVID-19 deaths.

BBC in its analysis of the positive and death cases of coronavirus in the world, publishes a detailed report. According to it, Macedonia has the highest death rate per 100,000 inhabitants as a result of the virus.

Macedonia has 34.7 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants, Kosovo 26.4, Montenegro 25.2, Bosnia and Herzegovina 24.7, Romania 24, Albania 13, Bulgaria 11.2, Serbia 10.7, Slovenia 7.0, Croatia 6.5, Greece 3.6.
