Prime Minister Zoran Zaev said Friday he will be careful when responding to Bulgaria’s demands on solving the Goce Delchev and language issue.

A solution should be found that will be beneficial for the two sides in the interest of both North Macedonia and Bulgaria, according to him.

“We’re focused on finding swift resolution to the issue we are facing. The guarantee for identity-related issues is upheld in the Friendship Treaty with Bulgaria, namely the Macedonian language and the Macedonian people. I believe that all the documents, comments that are presented are nothing but a wish to solve the fourth historical chapter or the sixth historical figure, which is an excellent opportunity to unite and strengthen our friendship,” Zaev told a news conference.
