Еpidemiologist Dragan Danilovski pointed out that in recent days the number of newly infected with the virus and hospitalized has begun to increase again.

“Since September 27, Macedonia has seen a sharp increase in the number of registered COVID-19 patients, but also of those hospitalized. The number of hospitalized, and not the number of positive ones that are determined is a more relevant, credible indicator of the dynamics of the epidemic. The number of deaths is also a parameter. The number of deaths in recent weeks has somehow tended to decline slightly, it somehow made me believe that the virus has started to subside. However, now we see that we already have an increase in the number of deaths,” said Danilovski.

The epidemiologist added that worldwide mortality from COVID-19 is 3.02 percent, and in Macedonia it is higher, it was 4 percent recently, and now it is increasing to 4.2 percent of the total number of registered positive cases.
