Bigorski Monastery hosted Sunday a central ceremony to mark 1,000 years since its establishment.
As part of the ceremony, Metropolitan Timotej and Bishop Parthenius awarded orders and certificates of appreciation to people and organizations that have contributed to the Bigorski Monastery and its mission.
A divine liturgy was officiated by the Head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church, Archbishop Stefan of Ohrid alongside Holy Synod members with President Stevo Pendarovski and the Bigorski Elder and Abbot, Bishop Parthenius in attendance. The ceremony was held under the President’s auspices.
