The change of Macedonia’s name comes before the Constitutional Court

After two years, the Constitutional Court finally put the civil initiative to assess the constitutionality of the amendments to change the name of the countryon the agenda.

The Constitutional Court on the agenda of its 30th session (scheduled for November 6, 2020 at 9:30 am) set as item 5, among others, the Initiative of a group of citizens, submitted in January 2019, which relate on the amendment that changed the constitutional name of the Republic of Macedonia.

“Due to the seriousness of the Session, scheduled for December 6, 2020, it would be good for the citizens to remind the Constitutional Court (through their Facebook profiles, via Twitter or in any other public and legal way) about the seriousness of the decision to be made, and that the delay, i.e. “self-declaring ourselves incompetent on these issues would only delay them, instead of resolving the problems/issues arising from Amendments XXXIII, XXXIV, XXXV and XXXVI and which, as time goes by, become more relevant,” wrote Professor LjubomirCuculovski on Facebook.
