The number of active coronavirus cases in Macedonia reached 14,661, after another 1,285 cases were registered on Saturday, and more than 900 patients were hospitalized in clinics and hospitals in the country.
Due to the growing number of cases who need hospitalization and overcrowding of the hospital facilities, the internal clinics of the Clinical Center are available for the treatment of patients starting this weekend.
The Clinic for Pulmonology and Allergology has 150 vacant hospital beds for the treatment of COVID-19 patients. Health Minister VenkoFilipche, during his visit to this clinic, assured that this project, which increases the accommodation capacity for COVID-19 patients will not disrupt the normal functioning of all these clinics.
