Type 1 diabetes patient to climb a mountain five times on World Diabetes Day

On the occasion of World Diabetes Day on November 14, Bojan Kirov, a young man with type 1 diabetes, will try five times to climb the top of Mount Vodno (1060 meters) near Skopje, which will be dedicated to one meter for every child and adult with type 1 diabetes, whose number in the country is 5,000.

There will be five climbs in one day. During each climb, three people are expected to accompany Bojan Kirov, at a safe distance of two meters.

A medical team will be stationed at the top monitor the health and safety of Bojan and his entourage. A specialist internist monitors the training process of Bojan Kirov and will monitor his health condition with appropriate medical equipment for pulse control.
